Ep.57 - 'Its almost normal to think that you're abnormal' - with Psychiatrist Dr Fred Moss, The Un-doctor

*Trigger warning - this podcast contains information and opinions on psychiatry, ADHD, Anxiety, Depression, self-diagnosis & medication* When I was asked if I'd like to speak with Dr Fred Moss, The Un-doctor, about the prevalence of self-diagnosis of ADHD, Anxiety and Depression I was intrigued. Truthfully, because I have been formally diagnosed and treated for Anxiety and Depression in the past (and I don't feel medication was the answer for me) and because it seems as though ADHD is affecting so many people. As Dr Moss explains, many are self-diagnosing and he has an interesting insight into why he believes this and what we can do if we feel we need professional help. As he states in the podcast, if you are happy with your diagnosis, your medication and your medical situation, this podcast isn't for you. If you want to hear more about Dr Moss and his 40 year journey in psychiatry, prepare for a fascinating insight into the world of un-doctoring, un-medicalising and un-diagnosing. Dr Moss has kindly offered a free discovery call for anyone who'd like to speak with him directly. You can book via his website https://welcometohumanity.net/

Dr Brian Cotter and his brother Dr James Cotter have successful Sisu clinics in multiple global locations and now they've added a new skincare and wellness line. I've been fortunate to try the Bio-Cellulose Sheet Mask and it was a pleasure to use, very hydrating and noticeably brightening. We spoke about the formulation of the masks and the new collagen supplement (the quality of which relates to my favourite quote from Dr Cotter's mum - good food is cheap medicine). Ep#48 - The Science Behind Skincare with Kat Burki

There are skincare brands and there are skincare brands created by true experts in their fields. Kat Burki is one of those people. Kat is an innovator in clinically proven whole nutrition skincare. If you're new to the brand, here's an idea of how impressed I am. How many makeup removers perform so beautifully that you carry out your facial massage before removing it? The Nourishing Oil Makeup Remover contains the most beautiful cold pressed botanicals and is so lightweight that I would happily use it regardless of whether there's any makeup or sunscreen requiring removal! Ep#46 - Ian Ogilvy in Conversation - His Memoir 'Once A Saint', Family Fame, Acting Memories, Writing Books & 1960s RADA Makeup Tips!

On the latest episode of The Homspa Beauty Meant To Be Podcast speaking to Ian Ogilvy was a joy!  He is funny, witty and extremely interesting to talk to.  I have known him as a respected actor since I can remember but it's through reading his memoir, Once A Saint, that I discovered just how fascinating a life he has lead.  I also discovered there were many films I hadn't watched - I used to think that Ian began his career in the 1970s, so it's a credit to him that he doesn't look mature enough to have began a decade earlier!

I thoroughly recommend his memoir as not only is he a great actor, he's a talented author too.  I'm currently reading Withering Slights and I'll never look at cinematic reviews in quite the same way again!

World of Books has a varied collection of Ian's books, many of which I purchased from here:
