Me, Myself, And; Power PART II. #TheWomanInMe Book Club feat. Kevney Spears Ch. 25-30

Today on “Me, Myself, And” The Woman in Me a Me Myself And miniseries book club I am joined by an extra extra EXTRA special guest. Twirl Town Captain, The Beautiful (Drop Dead), my best friend, Kevney Spears We Continue our journey reading through Britney Spears’s memoir “The Woman in Me” with this week being the final installation of the two part-saga through chapters 20-30. Today focusing on ch 25-30. This set of chapters begins with a true cultural reset as Britney Spears, a once blonde pop phenomenon, has shaved her head. A true symbol of a spiritual and physical rebellion. This effort into her own autonomy tragically becomes one of the many harmless instances that leads to her losing said autonomy later on. Throughout this set of chapters we see and hear from Britney at her most vulnerable, being a rag-doll and source of income to tabloids and the industry (I mean please). We also revisit the unhealthy attempts of a “comeback” made by her team and disgrace of a family around her. From there we hear the ill-fated circumstances straight from Britney herself that lead to her first hospitalization, deceitful company, and conservatorship. This is a really tough set of chapters that ultimately showcase the power and resilience that Britney Spears has had and still has all along. From the bottom of my heart, this saga, and total three hour long conversation with Kevin has been a top highlight of this show, my career, and friendship. Art and someone who embodies art becomes twice as beautiful when you see how it has impacted others the way it has impacted you. Kev, you brought IT to this saga and it has been an honor. Remember this book club is OURS! So make your voice heard wherever you watch or listen to this podcast And now.. Book clubs in session bitch
