1. We Literally Thought About This Title For 20 Minutes

Show Notes Episode 1:

Get to know Suzanne and LeAnn, where we share our diagnosis stories, how we met and why we are doing a podcast about our lives with ADHD.

Some highlights of Episode One:

  • Comparing inattentive vs hyperactive ADHD presentations and the difference in how ADHD shows up with girls vs boys
  • Women are often underdiagnosed and misdiagnosed with anxiety/depression, and often take antidepressant and antianxiety meds without success, because it is masking the root problem of ADHD.
  • We talk about the common anxiety of not being able to get things done and struggling with simple tasks more than people without ADHD.
  • How does it feel to have a diagnosis? We talk about validation of our ADHD diagnosis and how it’s helped us to move forward.
  • We talk about how we met in our life certification program through JRNI, and discuss the field of life coaching: what it is and what it isn’t, and why we decided to become life coaches.
  • Lastly, listen as we get vulnerable about failure and shame around being smart enough to utilize our potential, and how it relates to late diagnosis ADHD.
