Mark, Bas, Conny, Don & Kyle are back for this episode of Mattuschka's Right Peg.
The Bundesliga is hopefully entering its 'Football Italia' era in the UK with games now being aired on council telly via the BBC. We talk the unusual UK&I TV deal for the Bundesliga before reviewing the win against Stuttgart and yet another defeat at the hands of Serhou Guirassy in Dortmund.
We also look ahead to the Women's season, which kicked off over the weekend. There's been a lot of change at the club over the summer, and we do our best to make sense of it all.
Following recording last week, we were saddened to hear of the sudden passing of Silvio, who was a cherished member of Conny's Union fan club 'Grenzenlos Eisern' and our good international friends 'Union de Hierro' . There is a gofundme set up to help his family with repatriation and funeral costs. If you can spare anything, it would be greatly appreciated.
You can read the BBC article mentioned in the episode here and the Sky Sports article here.
If you want to get in contact with us, Spotify listeners can drop a comment on the episode. The twitter is here, but none of us have checked it in a while for * reasons *. Whilst we get around to sorting out a Bluesky account, you can contact producer/contributor Kyle on Bluesky here.
Thanks as always to Die Wallerts for the intro, to you for listening!
