Nina has grown up in and lived in an environment where she was treated like a second class human, in fact, there was a moment when the family decided she had to die honourably. WTF!
You'd be surprised to know that this type of thing happens in many cultures. In fact, that's exactly why Nina does what she does now. Her determination, with still more threats on her life constantly, to help other victims be spared of this injustice.
