Caregiver burnout is the feeling of being exhausted physically, emotionally, or mentally and there is often a change in attitude from being a positive and warm caregiver to a disengaged, negative and unconcerned one. Caregiver burnout is real and 100% preventable. Today we discuss what burnout is and the implications it has towards our role as caregivers and care partners. We also discuss 11 strategies to prevent it or recover from it. In a nutshell, those strategies are:
