Marlo's Conversations with Friends: Helga Hefner - Meditation
I am here with a topic that many people know quite well and that has become such a buzzword in many learning and practicing circles – Meditation. I felt so honored to have the conversation with a very dear friend of mine and longtime mentor and colleague, Helga Hefner. She is the only person that I could have this banter with as she is a lifelong practitioner of Meditation. What I wanted to focus on was removing some of stereotypes around it – whether that it’s become very trendy and fashionable to meditate to how complicated some people and platforms make it. I wanted to talk about what it means to be in stillness versus using the word meditation, and how to bring it back to its simple roots for someone to try one. SO. Step out of the chaos of life again for an hour or so to learn, to grow, to hear another perspective, and take some time to get still and just listen. I am proud of any form of Meditation that you try on….even if it’s one minute a day. Be Well, Marlo
