It’s confronting, especially in the brutal world we’re all doing our best to survive, but I believe there’s something important about this universal experience we’re all having together that worth interrogating. Join me as I speak to a variety of interesting, beautiful, imperfect humans (who are definitely going to die) and help them plan their dream funerals as they reflect on their lives, their longings, and how best to navigate this intense ride.

Omar Sakr is a poet and writer born in Western Sydney to Lebanese and Turkish Muslim migrants. He is an acclaimed, award-winning author and the first Arab-Australian Muslim to win the Prime Minister’s Literary Award. He is also - like the rest of the world - bearing witness to genocide. So where does art and poetry find its place amidst a horrifying and ongoing massacre? And what does it cost activists to keep showing up when staying silent is not an option?
