There is no such thing as witches. Well maybe back when they burned innocent women at the stake in Salem. But not in the 1890s. But even then, witches were not real. But what if there were real witches? And what if they had just forgotten the old ways for fear of being found out? And what if the women's suffrage movement caused them to remember the old ways and bring witchcraft back to help fight for women's rights? This month we are discussing The Once and Future Witches by Alix E. Harrow. Editors Note: If you listen to this show as an audio only podcast, first, thank you for the support. But we have been doing a lot more stuff on YouTube. This month, I left in the pre-show banter that is on the video version of the show just so you can get a taste of what you are missing. Host: Eugene Stephens Guest: Kris Andrew, Ray Andrew, Jennifer Hetzel Like the show? Support us by rating and reviewing wherever you listen. You can also find us on Facebook and Instagram. Ep 83 - The Kaiju Preservation Society
Kaiju are giant, monstrous creatures, like Godzilla, best known for destroying cities and wreaking havoc on the planet. But what if they needed our help to stay safe? If there was a place where kaiju could live without harming our world, and could be potentially hunted or harvested for financial gain, you better believe people would try to take advantage of them! This month we explore that idea in The Kaiju Preservation Society by John Scalzi July: The Milky Way by Moiya McTier August: Legends & Lattes by Travis Baldree September: Ray’s Pick October: Shaun’s Pick November: Joseph’s Pick Host: Eugene Stephens Guest: Kris Andrew, Ray Andrew Like the show?
