Mandukya Kārika -1; Lecture-23: Mantras 1.5as taught in the Three year program at RishikeshMantra 1.5यत्र सुप्तो न कञ्चन कामं कामयते न कञ्चन स्वप्नं पश्यति तत्सुषुप्तम्। सुषुप्तस्थान एकीभूत: प्रज्ञानघन एवाऽऽनन्दमयो ह्यानन्दभुक् चेतोमुखः प्राज्ञस्तृतीय: पाद:॥ ५ ॥yatra supto na kañcana kāmaṁ kāmayate na kañcana svapnaṁ paśyati tatsuṣuptam, suṣuptasthāna ekībhūtaḥ prajñānaghana evā‘’nandamayo hyānandabhuk cetomukhaḥ prājñastṛtīyaḥ pādaḥయత్ర సుప్తో న కఞ్చన కామం కామయతే న కఞ్చన స్వప్నం పశ్యతి తత్సుషుప్తమ్। సుషుప్తస్థాన ఏకీభూత: ప్రజ్ఞానఘన ఏవాఽఽనన్దమయో హ్యానన్దభుక్ చేతోముఖః ప్రాజ్ఞస్తృతీయ: పాద:॥ ౫ ॥5. That is the state of deep sleep wherein the sleeper does not desire any objects nor does he see any dream.
