By Brother Francis Maluf
Saint Paul's apostolic career among the Gentiles can be seen as part of the fulfillment of Our Lord's prophecy to the unbelieving Jews: "The Kingdom of God shall be taken from you, and shall be given to a nation yielding the fruits thereof". For this reason the Church has rightly given Saint Paul's Epistle to the Romans the pride of place. Brother Francis reduces some of the most difficult passages in this theological epistle to simple and understandable articles of faith. His exposition of unmerited grace and the necessity of good works is most illuminating.
