For ten years, the Delores Barr Weaver Policy Center has been choosing to see the girl: young women who have been failed by multiple institutions that perpetuate trauma cycles and push them further into the justice system. Stacy Ellison, Vice President of Development and Communications, describes how the Policy Center supports young women, how they endeavor to educate girls and the community from multiple touchpoints, and provide access to mentors and trusted adults so girls get the care and respect they deserve.
