When Preparation Meets Execution (the Wave Arrives) Dearly Beloved… this episode is a story about the moment when the wave finally arrives — after years of preparation, devotion, heartbreak, hard work, and refusing to give up on the vision. I just returned from Austin, Texas, where I spent a week inside an Impact Accelerator with 120 powerhouse entrepreneurs, investors, advisors, and super-connectors. I went down there to pitch Majik Kids — our mission to end the screen zombie epidemic and raise empowered creators through screen-free, imagination-powered media. I had a five-minute pitch in front of the room. And the amount of preparation that went into those five minutes… was wild. 21 script rewrites 20+ slide deck rebuilds 30+ hours of practice Complete memorization & embodiment A devastating piece of feedback two days before the pitch A full ego death & complete rewrite And finally… the moment When I stepped onto the stage — and delivered the most grounded, playful, powerful version of myself — I got a standing ovation and walked away with 50+ meaningful follow-up conversations with investors, collaborators, and allies. This story is a teaching moment for anyone on the path of creation: Preparation matters. How you show up in your moment matters. Your craft is the key. Your presence is the portal. There is a point in every journey where the resistance shows up: The scream moment. The “I don’t have time” moment. The “maybe I’m not cut out for this” moment. That is not the sign to stop. That is the sign to KEEP IT UP. If you're in the grind phase… If you’re mid-build… If you’re rewriting your story… If you're preparing for your moment… This episode is your reminder: Your wave is coming. And when preparation meets execution — the world pays attention. 🔗 Links Mentioned Watch the actual pitch: https://youtu.be/KfZlEfoEaYM?si=-2XE73x6-oglY4MB Explore Majik Kids (screen-free audio stories + creativity curriculum): https://MajikKids.com Join the Play Chi Ball revolution: https://PlayChiBall.com Work with us at Majik Media (Signature Workshops, Coaching, & Creative Production): https://MajikMedia.com 🌀 Reflection Prompt At the end of the episode, I guide you into a 5-minute free-flow journaling session. Use it to clarify: Where you are in your preparation phase What resistance is showing up What commitment you're making to your calling Set five minutes aside. Let your truth come through the page.

License It: Turn Finished Work into Forever Revenue [Build Wealth through Licensing]
License It: Turn Finished Work into Forever Revenue (Creators’ Step-by-Step) Episode Description (Apple Podcasts & Spotify) Dearly beloved, stop letting finished gems collect dust. In this episode I walk you through how to license your content—meditations, audio stories, courses, kids’ content, music—and place the same asset on multiple platforms (non-exclusive) so it builds audience and royalties over time. Less hustle. More leverage. You’ll learn Why non-exclusive licensing compounds reach + royalties The minimum production quality gatekeepers expect How to package assets (samples, metadata, cover art, file types) The “unfair advantage” to highlight in every pitch Where to license beyond the obvious apps (schools, libraries, aggregators, niche platforms) Follow-up cadence and realistic timelines (3–12 months) A simple weekly rhythm: write → record → edit → outreach Timestamps 00:00 Why licensing beats one-and-done launches 03:20 Quality that gets approved (mic + sound treatment) 06:05 Packaging: folders, metadata, square covers 09:15 Outreach: build a 50+ partner list & pitch 12:40 Follow-ups and royalty timelines 15:25 Where to license (apps, schools, aggregators) 18:10 IP/music basics so you can start now 20:00 Your next steps this week Who this is for Creators, coaches, teachers, musicians, voice actors, wellness/mindfulness guides, kids’ content producers, and anyone with courses or audio assets that deserve wider distribution.
