Ayyyy welcome back to your fave travel podcast. Thanks for tuning in and getting yourself ready to make some MOVES with me. Let's get it!
In Season 3 Episode 16, I am joined by Ruck aka Ruck Travels. Ruck is a 28-year-old traveler from the UK who has spent the past eight years exploring the world—three of those years as a full-time digital nomad and content creator. His journey began at the age of 20 with a trip to South America, inspired by a long-held desire to visit Peru. Despite facing personal challenges back home during that first adventure, the experience ignited a passion for travel that has shaped the course of his life ever since.
His love for exploring the world was sparked early on by his parents, who took him on unforgettable childhood trips to places like Egypt and the USA. In recent years, Ruck landed a remote sales job that gave him the freedom to work from anywhere, and more recently, he's found growing success on social media, leading to collaborations with international brands. Now, he’s focused on building his content creation into a sustainable business—determined to avoid settling into a conventional lifestyle.
In this week's episode we dive into Ruck's recent journey to Turkmenistan—one of the world’s most isolated and least-visited countries. From navigating strict visa processes to experiencing surreal landscapes like the Darvaza Gas Crater and the white-marble capital of Ashgabat, Ruck shares what it’s really like to explore a place shrouded in mystery and misconception. Through his firsthand account, the show aims to shed light on the beauty, challenges, and cultural richness of this little-known nation. Tune in today!
