In Season 3 Episode 15, I am joined by Brad- an American English teacher and content creator from Indiana with a lifelong passion for travel and culture. His connection with Spain began at 17 during a two-month exchange program, which inspired him to study Spanish at university and eventually move abroad.
In 2021, he came to Spain to teach during the pandemic but returned home at the end of the year due to COVID. Back in the U.S., he spent a year working odd jobs—from waiting tables to doing fieldwork in ecology and archaeology—but felt a strong pull to return to life abroad.
Since 2022, he’s been living in Spain—first in Almería, then Galicia for the past two years—where the experience has been deeply transformative. Living abroad has helped him find himself and create a life that feels 100% his own, even through its challenges. He’s traveled to France, Portugal, the UK, Morocco, Canada, and across the U.S., and hopes to explore South America and Asia in the coming years. His love for travel runs deep—he even wrote a book in first grade called “I Want to Go to Greece” (still on the bucket list).
