Ep. 3: Make an Impact — Is getting the ugly stereotypes out in the open the best way to expose the truth? (Feat. Miriam Kosman)

In this episode of MakeShift, Sara and Miriam Kosman examine the way we’ve done outreach over the last few decades, and discuss how our approach to many things, including kiruv, has shifted from the masculine to the feminine. They talk about whether students’ attention spans and levels of intelligence are different than it was 30 years ago, and how to maintain a connection even when using a hierarchical approach to teaching. How can you impact hundreds of students when you only have a limited time with them? Whether or not you can prove that the Torah is true is a very interesting discussion, but does it need to be relevant to make waves in kiruv?
