About Junk Food and the Word “Natural”


Junk food is so seductive! It promises us instant gratification and relief from cravings, stress, depression, anxiety and so on. The problem is that the relief is short lived and begs another "fix".

In this edition of Major Health Minutes, I riff  on junk food and also address one of the deadliest deceptions of food labeling as I discuss the real meaning of the word "natural" on food packaging. What it means and what it doesn't mean... Are you someone who is more apt to purchase a box or bag of processed food if it says "natural"?   If you are, you have a lot of company. Take a quick listen to find out what "natural" is really telling us.
