THE ASSOCIATES: BILLY MacKENZIE & ALAN RANKINE. SULK

The Associates are one of Scotland's most loved post-punk bands of the 1980's, with albums such as The Affectionate Punch, Sulk and Perhaps. Billy MacKenzie and Alan Rankine have a special place in our hearts giving us 'Party Fears Two' and 'Country Club' to name a few... In this episode we celebrate The Associates legacy with a mix of live performances, fans and friends tributes, Alan's insight into the songs and a timely reminder of the remarkable human being that we lost in Billy MacKenzie. Huge thanks and praise go to film director Grant McPhee for the use of his material. Alan Rankine for his agreement on the making of this. And to the fans of The Associates. We also have a Go Fund Me page to raise money for a memorial statue to Billy in his home city of Dundee, Scotland. Search on the GoFundMe platform for "BILLY MacKenzie Memorial Statue'.
