Day 35: You Will Not Abandon Me

The Father did not leave Jesus’ soul in Sheol while his body rotted in the cave. He raised him. With this in mind, we can imagine Jesus praying Psalm 16 as he looks back with his Father on what has happened over the three years of his ministry on earth:

"The LORD is my chosen portion and my cup."

"The lines have fallen for me in pleasant places. Indeed, I have a beautiful heritage."

"O Father, in the trackless wasteland you made known to me the path of life. Sweeter now even than it had been in all eternity is our fellowship. In your presence, there is fullness of joy."
