My guest this week is from a nonprofit called IMPOWER- they focus on behavioral health and child wellbeing - providing psychiatric clinics, mental health counseling, substance abuse treatment, and Telehealth services. Though their mission is serious, they are having their annual Stuff Your Face Race happening, and I had the opportunity to speak with Mary Cortez, the Director of Development, and Howard Abell, the race presenting sponsor and co-chair of the race committee.
I got to talk with Mary and Howard about IMPOWER and the services they provide as well as learn more about their charity race- Stuff Your Face Race.
The Stuff Your Face Race is a test of both endurance and gastrointestinal fortitude. The STUFF YOUR FACE RACE presented by Advantage Custom Water Tanks is like no other in Central Florida! This unique, professionally timed event challenges teams and/or individuals to run -- and eat -- their way to the finish line of a 3.1 or 6.2 mile course happening November 1st at Blue Jacket Park - Run. Eat. Repeat!
It was great to speak with Mary and Howard and learn more about their cause and the race, and also hear why Howard and his wife are so involved in this organization. I hope you decide to participate in the race and learn about one of the many great charities helping in Central Florida.
