July Roundtable: For Those I Love by David Balfe (2021)

TW: This episode discusses some heavy topics including the mention of suicide.

This month, my co-host Henry and I were joined by my friends from Probably Oslo, Danny & Alex, to talk about the debut self-titled 'For Those I Love' album. David Balfe is a Dublin-based musician and artist. This is his first and debut album as For Those I Love (@forthoseilove), but he’s been a part of a few other projects; including the collective Burnt Out, one of at least three musical projects that he formed with his best friend Paul Curran.

The mention of Paul is vital to the discussion of the album since it was his passing in Feb 2018 that triggered David to make this album in the first place. He recorded over 75 songs for the album before whittling it down to the nine we have here.

This is another one of my favorite albums of 2021 so far and I was really excited to discuss it with some great people, so I hope you enjoy and give it a listen as well.
