There are some who have testified that their narcissist seems to be oblivious to how others around him or her experiences narcissism in the relationship. It's like a parallel reality, which can seem surreal to everyone except the narcissist. Narcissistic personality types tend to lack empathy. It might surprise some to know that narcissists can feel sympathy at times. Their lack of empathy causes others to perhaps feel and or think that the narcissist just doesn't care about the quality of their relationships with others. There are some who have come to notice that their narcissist doesn't seem to have that switch that warns them that it might not be a good idea to harm others that they claim to love and care about. The way that narcissistic personality types tend to relate to others becomes problematic, except for the narcissist. It's not impossible to deal with what some might refer to as very difficult personality types, such as cluster B. Due to a lack of empathy some narcissistic personality types give a cold shoulder, or can seem indifferent towards those who are emotionally invested. Some people have shared that their narcissist seems to have such a strong sense of entitlement that he or she has recruited flying monkeys to help them pull some of the most diabolical tactics to maintain control, or prove superiority.
