When Hope Is Challenged - Part 2

"The best we can do is just listen to the folks that we're serving and make sure that we're responding to what they are asking for… And you're right, don't have a crystal ball to see what's going to happen in the future, but what you do have is a huge outpouring of support from the community, from organizations, thousands of volunteers, and your staff." -Meghan Altimore

In Part 1 of our interview with Meghan Altimore, host Bruce Bracken learns about the huge impact Hopelink has to its community and the quick pivot they had to make to continue to service the community during the COVID-19 pandemic. In part two of our two-part show, we look at the next big challenge for Hopelink – the journey ahead in reopening under Washington’s Coronavirus Recovery Plan.

Join us for Part 2 of our conversation with Meghan as she talks about her hopes and plans for how Hopelink will continue to serve the community after the pandemic crisis has ended. How will Hopelink change the way they engage the community going forward? What will happen to its grocery store model and its non-emergency transportation service? What can we expect from Hopelink as they transition out from crisis to the New Normal?
