Blueprint for Health

"I think the main thing is to acknowledge the people that are truly putting themselves in harm's way … The medical professionals, the first responders, the frontline service people, and that what we are doing is to try to give them tools to keep safe, to keep their families safe, and to continue to serve the people that they serve, so that we feel like we're enabling the heroes on the front lines of this thing."

-- Jonathan Roberts

As people work to mitigate the spread of COVID-19, the demand for personal protective equipment (PPEs) has spiked. Health care facilities are facing severe shortages of masks and respirators, desperately needed to protect medical workers from catching and spreading the virus. Just ask anyone and most people will tell you that they can’t finds masks, gloves, and hand sanitizers at their local store.

In this episode, host Bruce Bracken speaks with Jonathan Roberts, the sponsor of Maker Mask, speaks to us about their mission to connect supply and demand with small batch production sites around the world. Maker Mask has created the first federally approved 3D printer protective mask blueprint. So far, there have been over 700,000 global website pageviews, and 150,000 downloads of CAD files in more than 150 countries. Locally, Maker Mask is also working to empower and educate students at Seattle Academy, who just opened up a small batch production site and are creating Maker Masks for the local community.

Get ready to learn how you can be a part of this rapidly growing global supply chain!
