Cube Design Iron Chef: Genesis Wave

View all cards mentioned in this episode

Andy and Anthony brainstorm a brand new cube starting from a single card: Genesis Wave. Like the two previous episodes, featuring Goblin Charbelcher and Trade Routes, they expand from a single card considering what kind of environment it would make sense in. They take a few further steps considering more layers of cards that fit together in different ways. They end up with a rough sketch for a cube idea, including some general themes and a few open questions still to answer to turn their initial brainstorm into a playable list.

Discussed in this episode:

  • Second Edition of the Cube Will Outlive Magic Playmats Available for Preorder
  • Lucky Paper Patreon
  • Episode 197: Cube Design Iron Chef: Goblin Charbelcher
  • Episode 182: Emergent Cube Design by Example starting with Trade Routes
