Handel was a complex character, his early compositions shaped by Lutheran tradition, the power of opera and of course, his own unique voice. This #loveHandel podcast delves into some of the musical, social and political history of 17th century Germany, looking at musical styles and composers Handel might have known as a young student,  which in turn influenced his own musical development.
