Language dabbling isn't for everyone, but I really enjoy it, and I find several benefits to dabbling that actually help me keep my main languages going. Of course there are often connections between languages that help to strengthen our understanding of them, but I've also found that language dabbling helps me prevent and work through burnout, and it keeps me curious. It helps reignite the fire and preserve the joy I need to move forward in my main languages.
