One of the FINAL episodes of this Podcast is this HUGE trauma dump.
......
OK WTAF? I haven't talked about this much and even in this episode I struggle to talk about it. This podcast is all fine and dandy when talking about what happened to me but a whole different story when talking about kids.
Ive shared this though to show an important message. That its not about us and our feelings like our personal desire for revenge. It's about the suvivor/victim- the child and what they want and need- What is best for them. Keeping their best needs as a focus is the way to go forward after such horrific crimes that continue to happen to children each and everyday around the world because of these sick men.
This episode discusses the book and film It Ends With Us along with the drama in the media surrounding its two stars Justin Baldwin and Blake Lively.
Ive recently had covid so I have to pause at one point but it is all good.
Take care xx

ABOUT:
Love is a Battlefield was initially intended to be an educational podcast about domestic violence / domestic abuse and all kinds of relationship drama. It has now ended up being both educational and also sharing story times and experiences (while keeping perpetrators details private). The importance of sharing experiences and knowledge helps to empower women (including trans women!) and those who identify with the issues discussed.
About the podcaster: Tilly is a Registered Nurse & was recently a Mental Health Practitioner. She has completed many DV courses and is a survivor of domestic violence, having almost lost her life. Tilly was fortunate to see a perpetrator imprisoned, but this is not the reality for many survivors. Having briefly worked in radio many years ago, the idea for this podcast came from noticing a very real gap in the lack of knowledge held by DV survivors. Knowledge is power and Tilly hopes to empower each and every person to live a life free from abuse or oppression.

This is a pretty chill, many target, loose chat episode before we get back into the serious episodes next time. It goes for aaaaaages but you can chip away at it over the coming weeks while you walk the dog, drive to and from work or clean your home-multitasking like a boss.

If you've been on social media lately you'd have heard about women (and many men) saying they'd choose to be alone in the forest with a bear instead of a man, highlighting the natural fear we have always held shame over and hidden.
This episode I talk about that and also touch on last weeks episode.

*Trigger warning- Discussions of suicide*
Please google for helplines in your country if anything is triggering in this episode. xx
After seeing on Tik Tok and Reddit the information that has come to light about the tragic passing of Mica Miller in the US, I have changed today's topic to this.
It was important to share what happened to both myself and the victim prior to me in order to show how Suicide can be part of DV. It's a long episode as I go into detail about the one before me who did end up attempting to take her life and then what was done to me.
If coercive control is being made illegal in many countries, the psychological warfare and direct conscious push by these abusers should eventually be able to be criminalised. While they did not complete the task they set it up, much like ordering a hit. While we don't expect them to be charged with murder, the prevalence of this needs to be studied so some justice can be given to the countless families who lose loved ones in this way.
RIP to Mica and many condolences to her family and friends.
May God bring you peace and wisdom at this time.

This past weekend, THOUSANDS rallied and marched all over Australia (minus Darwin - Sorry!) to say No More to male violence against women as more women were murdered by their partners this week. Over the weekend we lost another 1 or 2 women murdered by their male partners while we marched.
In this episode I talk about attending one of the rallies and how that felt. I discuss the politicians who were in attendance at various rallies and their responses. I go on tangents such as comparing the governments response to male victim one punch attacks compared to women being murdered. The difference in stats of both at the point the government took action will alarm you. Have they taken action though? We are still yet to see anything so the numbers continue to climb.

The Australian attack against women occurred recently in Bondi, Sydney, NSW, Australia.
A white man got a knife (thank you gun laws) then ran around, stabbing women and babies in a large shopping centre (mall). He avoided men and only ended the life of one as he was a security guard trying to apprehend him alone. Everyone else fled while he stabbed a baby then stabbed the babies mother, the mother passed. He also ended the life of 5 other women & injured more.
It has been all over social media so I don't want to be annoying & repeat it all. I briefly introduce it for my wonderful listeners in other countries, but don't go on about the same things.
However, I add to the voices of women saying we have had enough.
I also discuss the public mental health system having worked in it. I also tell you how my perpetrator had no idea the lengths women go to in order to keep safe from men. While we 'can' do things legally, I explain how a defence barrister will tear you apart if you do break the unwritten rules such as 'women should not go outside at night unless accompanied by a male suitor'. Its not the law but it is an unwritten rule that if a woman goes outside at night without a male suitor, this is akin to a man climbing a cliff face without a harness so was 'asking for it'.
We are told we shouldn't go out due to the dangerous men while simultaneously being gaslit that men aren't dangerous, that we are the problem and being raped or murdered is our fault.
I also realised when I say "Stay safe" at the end of each episode- while I meant to empower women to leave abusive situations, I no longer wish to say that. It's not on us to stay safe. Its on men to stop murdering, raping and abusing us. So 'stay risky', live your life like a man- my gut twanged as I wrote that because it's so dangerous to do that. Still, not your fault.
Misogynists and internalised mysogynistic women need to explore why we have taught generations of girls to always "keep themselves safe" and it's their fault if a man harms them. Does this not mean men are dangerous? Or we are just not serving our men in a way they wish, therefore should expect punishment?
I send all families of those lost the highest of condolences & those recovering in hospital or at home, in pain, with wounds and scars that are yet to form, I also think of you.
Change is coming but only the more we talk and talk about it. Men spread the notion that women who speak on those things are crazy to silence us, and it worked.......until now.
Ill sacrifice my image and be called crazy if it helps just one woman in the future not go through what myself and others have.

For anyone overseas I explain this case in the podcast so you will understand.
Women of Australia have felt seen and heard this week as the Judge announced he found Bruce Lehmann
DID rape Britney Higgins and his attempt at defamation, ie/ "throwing a Johnny Depp" like a classic narcissist, was dismissed.
Specifics aside, this shows how many rapists are free in this country due to "the system" that was designed by white men hundreds of years ago.
So many women literally tearing up when the judge announced his findings, goes to show how prevalent SA without justice is in this "system". How women witnessing a man who thought he got away with rape being called out by a judge in a court of law is SO rare that it had to be celebrated nation wide.
[Minus the incels (misogynists) and the women with internalised misogyny (brainwashed by society to dislike and not believe other women).]
This episode is unhinged (sorry, not sorry) as we continue in the era of no fks (or editing) given.

*DOUBLE EPISODE - NO EP NEXT WEEK*
I'll give you two weeks to get through this big one!!
CONTROVERSIAL AF- When we touch on JUJU, spiritual, supernatural, God and what not things can get awkward. I try to touch on this lightly and very OPEN minded while sharing some stories. One was about an ex I had years ago and that shift many narcissism survivors have described seeing in their perpetrators of narcissistic abuse. I mean they do some seriously evil things so its not surprising there may be some juju component
to it.
At the end as I am about to say goodbye, I recall a pretty FULL ON story of some demonic juju stuff that I share right at the end so there's that. As usual I just run my mouth based on personal experience and try not to push anything onto anyone else. At the end of the day we are all currently humans and none of us know for sure what is realllllly going down but sharing experiences can help.
The reason for this episode was that so many survivors had shared their personal experiences of spiritual
stuff around their narcissists so it was worth a mention. A long, 2 hour mention at that haha.
Stay safe, its not your fault, love ya

It's a term some of us may have heard of, or others may have experienced, The Narcissist Discard.
Personally, I'd thought it had not happened to me, but during the episode I recall situations where it had.
Narcissists are very sick individuals, whose goal is power and control over others.
As usual if this episode were a restaurant meal, you'd send it back to the chef for lack of quality. I often listen to paid podcasts, recorded in studios with actual producers and editors and writers and think "I hope they realise the difference" haha.

So I wanted to acknowledge this very significant topic without deep diving and end up crying. So I've touched on it lightly and shared some other things without going right into the pain of a mother reflecting on the pain their children suffered at the hands of abusive men.

Hey Legends,
I PROMISE this episode is not as long as others have been! At a neat little 30 mins I discuss weaponised incompetence in both relationships and the workplace.
Weaponised Incompetence can be part of a DV relationship or it can be stemming from patriarchal misogyny. I've been guilty of putting up with it in previous relationships while working and doing all the things.

Australian TEMU 137044260 hahaha
EP 35: The title doesn't lie. This episode goes for AAAGES but I knew it would, hence taking a year to do it. PTSD or C-PTSD is so complex and different for everyone. In this episode, we look at the basics of what it is and what it looks like. The tangent trains have some juicy tea. Especially one right near the end where I disclose a never before told story from my youth.
I must admit I was envious to reesateesa for being able to share her story showing her face. For over a year Ive been sharing my detailed accounts but because of the danger of the individual, I have chosen not to make videos showing my face. Id love that connection with you guys on Tik Tok. Lucky for her, her pathological liar isn't too switched on and hasn't got lawyers involved but that's a risk I won't be taking. Even if something did happen, legally you can only openly discuss items related to convicted charges. So I am free to openly discuss those things but not everything and wanting to speak freely about all the things, I chose to hide. Also, even if I legally can do it, it's like shaking the bees nest. I am not going to stir up the violent offender if I can help it. I would gladly talk on tv or real podcasts (haha ones with funding, staff and studios) about the things I can but when I sit here and spill ALL the tea, I feel safer. Australians can't get on the creator fund anyway. So no cash here or BMW's with an interior. I wish all of you who have suffered at the hands and words of pathological liars and narcissist could have your moment of being acknowledged and rewarded for your survival. To experience the empathy of many people. However, that's just not the reality for most of us. I hope that when listening to reesateesa you can know your story and what happened to you is also so important and if the world knew it, they would give you all the things too.
We are alive and we are healing and that's the most we could ask for and are truly grateful for that. When we reflect on those who have been murdered by their partners/exes we have SO much to appreciate.
xx
TEMU:
What's the Temu code all about? I shamelessly share my TEMU story (chicken bag FTW) and give my code if you're a new Australian user.
I just realised US/other country codes don't work on Australian Temu, so why the fk did I bother sharing it? haha. Oh well, at least you know about the legendary chicken bag.
Shamelessly keeping it real here everyday. Slay.

Last Weeks Episode ...PART 2!
EMOTIONAL ABUSE which is such a mammoth part of Domestic Violence. For anyone unsure why Emotional Abuse is labelled a form of "violence", these are the episodes for you. In listing all the signs and symptoms of Emotional Abuse and (over) sharing my personal experiences of each, I hope for survivors/victims.......
That you know you're NOT alone.
That abusers have very similar textbook ways of doing these sick things (and why).
That it is NOT your fault. You have every right to be human and experience healthy relationships.
This episode ends around the 1 hour, 17 min mark (yeah sorry, love a chat lol) and continues next week with Part 2.
I'm glad we are DEEP diving into this topic over 2 weeks because it is so important to really reveal the true evil and sadistic things behind closed doors that is Domestic Violence.

ABOUT: Love is a Battlefield is an educational podcast about domestic violence / domestic abuse and all kinds of relationship drama. About the podcaster: Tilly is a Registered Nurse, Mental Health Practitioner, completed many DV courses and a survivor of domestic violence, having almost lost her life.
