Why the Galaxy Watch 4 Might Not Make the Cut in 2024!

Welcome to my in-depth review of the Galaxy Watch 4 Classic! In this video, I’ll be examining whether this smartwatch, which I’ve used for almost two years, is still a worthwhile purchase in 2024. Set against the backdrop of time, we’ll start with the design. At first glance, you might mistake it for a new model, thanks to the impressive durability of its screen. After surviving countless bumps and drops, it only shows minor scratches. However, the back hasn’t held up as well, with more noticeable wear and tear. The silicone strap, while still functional, has developed micro-tears, raising questions about longevity. Moving on to the software experience, I’ll share how it has evolved over the past two years. In a word, it’s “fine.” Despite occasional lags that remind me of its age, the watch generally performs well for daily tasks. But, as updates continue to roll out, RAM management becomes an issue, leading to slower performance. Now, let’s dive into the critical topic of battery life. This is where the Galaxy Watch 4 Classic truly struggles. With a maximum charge lasting only 24 hours under minimal use, and even less during active days, it’s frustrating for those who rely on it for fitness tracking. I’ll share my personal experiences with charging habits and how they affect daily use, making this a significant consideration for potential buyers. In contrast, there are several features that still shine. The watch automatically tracks workouts and offers a fall detection system that is relatively accurate, though it can sometimes misinterpret a bump for a fall. GPS tracking is decent, but can falter in challenging environments like forests or urban areas with tall buildings. To wrap up, my recommendation will be twofold. If you’re in the market for a budget-friendly Samsung smartwatch that performs adequately, the Galaxy Watch 4 Classic is a solid choice. However, if battery life is crucial to your active lifestyle, you might want to consider other options. At a price point of $70 to $80, this watch offers value to the average consumer, though it may not satisfy tech enthusiasts looking for the latest features. Join me as we determine if the Galaxy Watch 4 Classic is still worth your investment in 2024!Congrats!! You earned yourself a cookie by watching the full video!
