Welcome to the Lord of Adders Black fan podcast, where Michael and Ian explore the universe of cult sitcom Blackadder while diving off at the occasional gleeful tangent.
In our twentieth episode, we cast a wary eye over the “Blackadders that got away” – the ideas for a fifth series that never got off the ground because they lacked potential or because they strayed too far from the core make-up of the series. Or because they were bollocks.
Having taken part in our Christmas quiz, our good friend and fellow podcaster Ciarán Moffatt returns for a huge roller coaster of a chat about Keinrick and Mossop, the thespians who fall foul of Blackadder in the Season 3 episode Sense & Senility. Needless to say, we also talk about the seasoned actors who played them, Kenneth Conner and Hugh Paddick, and the role they played in radio, film, television and in bringing the secret gay language Polari to the masses.
