This 2003 holiday rom-com is one of the best loved and most Popular Media Think Piece as late November comes around. We've read the lists on why we love it, why we shouldn't love it, and why we do love it even though we shouldn't. The writer and director Richard Curtis does the interview circuits every holiday season to agree with the interviewers that his film is problematic and admit that he still doesn't know, actually, why we love it so much.
