Today I speak to Leo Giordani. He currently contracts as a DevOps Engineer, but also spends part of his working time developing a DevOps bootcamp course. We spend the first part of this podcast discussing this new course. There are many frontend, backend and fullstack bootcamp courses out there, but none preparing people for DevOps roles, so it was interesting to hear about the work involved in getting a project like this off the ground.
In this interview, we also touch quite a lot on Leo’s work at WeGotPOP, a platform for hiring and managing extras in the film industry. Here, Leo worked as the lead software developer until very recently.
Finally, at the end of the interview, we discuss Leo’s book, called ‘Clean Architectures in Python’. To prime you for this discussion, a clean architecture is essentially a way of organising a software system so that it is easy to maintain and extend. For more detail, Leo also does a nice job at summarising Clean Architectures in the interview.
