Lizness School
Liz Dolan
30 episodes

After a long career in Marketing and Communications at companies like NIKE, OWN: The Oprah Winfrey Network and National Geographic, Liz Dolan is exploring what's next for her. Liz was also the long-time co-host of the award-winning podcast Satellite Sisters with her real-life sisters, so a new podcast seemed like a good way to do it! In Season 1, Liz is a Fellow at Stanford's Distinguished Careers Institute and taking classes all over Stanford. The goal of this year is to reconnect with herself, connect with similarly distinguished fellows (aka late career folks), and connect with Future Liz. In Season 2, Future Liz has to put herself out there. What's the plan? Tune in every other week for new episodes of Lizness School where she explores new choices and keeps her curiosity alive with her millennial mentor Leah Sutherland, who's in the messy middle of her own transitions.

Lizness School Episode 19: Most Embarrassing Email + Conference Season
Spring seems to be conference season at Stanford, so Liz attends a few and skips a few. The Stanford Data Science gathering might be over her head but the new art installation in the new CoDa there is definitely over her head but in a good way. The Healthy Aging 2025 conference is on her agenda. So is a follow-up session with Stanford's Dr. B J Fogg on Building Habits. Shifting gears into her Spring quarter Stanford Law School life, she will attend a legal conference on 100 Days of the Trump Administration featuring her professor Pam Karlan. Liz also announces a Satellite Sisters x Lizness School Meet-Up in the Elizabeth Gamble Garden in Palo Alto on Sunday May 18 from 9 am to 11 am. Meet Liz's sister author Lian Dolan and hear about her new book Abigail and Alexa Save The Wedding. You can preorder the book here. Plus hang out with Liz and Hooper. Bring you your own beverages. The sisters will supply treats. LinkedIn post from Liz's fellow Fellow Mary Ellen Smith.https://www.linkedin.com/posts/mary-ellen-smith_dci-lifelonglearner-activity-7321392857649455104-D5o_?utm_source=share&utm_medium=member_desktop&rcm=ACoAAAC4DB0BXkHWeSewytsP9VCswDE6VAuIpEc Leah catches us up on her new life in Nashville - she's looking for an apartment but living with her parents for now.
