A Less Guided Meditation

As you begin to practice meditation, it's normal to want more space in your meditations to practice returning your focus to your chosen anchor (breath, body, sounds). While the silence can be challenging, it's in those moments that the real work of meditation takes place. This meditation gives you more silence and provides an opportunity to continually return your attention to your anchor. By practicing this skill, you'll not only improve your focus and clarity during meditation, but also in your daily life. I encourage you to try to embrace the silence and use it as an opportunity to strengthen your brainpower. Enjoy it!

Calming the Mental Chatter

Hey meditators! I am frequently asked, “How do I stop the noises in my head?”. The good news is that we all have an inner narrator who worries and makes lists and can be really negative! The even better news is we don’t need to stop the chatter to quiet it down. All we need to do is treat it with kindness and give it space.

  • Go slowly - label the thought as “thought” and take a few seconds to focus on an anchor such as the experience of breathing.

10 Years in the Making // Liz Coaches Announcement!

Do you want to live passionately but you’re afraid to do the thing you LOVE to do/must do/were born to do? I was there too.

I've worked for 6 companies in the last 13 years and for 10 years I’ve been moving closer and closer to doing what I LOVE full time. I found yoga because I needed a tool to manage my burnout from work. Over time, my wellness journey evolved from yoga to reiki energy healing to mindfulness meditation so I could learn to calm my racing thoughts and take better care of myself.

"We teach what we need."

Meditation worked wonders for me because it helped me focus on my wellbeing. In 2019 I knew that in order to make a positive impact in a BIG way, I needed to work in healthcare. Through dedication and hard work, I began managing wellness events, became a life coach, and worked for almost 3 years in hospitals supporting employee wellbeing.

And here we are today! I'm just a human who didn't give up. I'm a person who has been on the other side of anxiety and exhaustion and hopelessness and I want to remind you that there are tools (like meditation) that can help reduce the brain fog, increase focus and help you accomplish your goals.

I'm also here to announce that I am officially doing what I am most passionate about! As of August 2023, I am running my wellness company Liz Coaches full time!!

After years teaching the benefits of taking a mindful pause, I'm going to take a one month pause from the podcast, my newsletter and social media to reset my mind and body as I prepare for this big transition. I encourage you to do what you need to do this summer to take care of your wellbeing too.

Thank you so much for your support over the last year and a half of running the podcast. I'll be back with even more aliveness and excitement to bring you meditations in the fall.

This month we honor the importance of self-care as we celebrate self-care day on July 24th and make it self-care month! Pausing will bring you more connection, clarity and calm. Pausing is the ultimate self-care strategy and meditating strengthens our ability to pause.
