Jamogi is a powerhouse in the Kansas City music scene—a singer, songwriter, producer, performer, and bandleader with an undeniable presence. And above all, he’s a proud dog dad to a beautiful Red Merle Australian Shepherd.
Originally from Long Beach, California, Jamogi made his mark in KC after moving in 2015. He honed his craft as a member of the prestigious Kansas City Boys & Girls Choir, later earning his Bachelor’s degree in Music Education in 2022. In 2023, he launched his solo career, bringing a fresh, genre-blending sound to the stage. With electrifying performances and a vision that pushes boundaries, Jamogi is redefining what it means to be an artist and entertainer.
In our conversation together, Jamogi and I discussed his transition from teaching to starting a full-time music career, emphasizing the importance of mentorship and self-mentoring in navigating challenges.
