From Distractions to Zen: Britt Chemla Jones on Making the Most of Working from Home

On today's show, your host Michele Jones talks to Britt Chemla Jones about the work that she does to help business owners stay aligned. She used various techniques to help her clients. Below are a few takeaways from our conversation that you can try at home to help you get through your work day.

  1. Ditch the office chair and use an exercise ball instead of a chair or sit on the floor
  2. Avoid sitting in a chair or when you do sit, work to sit with your legs crossed
  3. Use a few yoga stretches to help you during the day to break up your day
  4. Try a mini-meditation. Notice your thoughts, just be aware and observe them
  5. Muddy glass exercise- Close your eyes and imagine a glass of muddy water sitting on a table in front of you. Focus on it and watch the mud settle to the bottom of the glass. Focus on the glass of muddy water until all the mud has settled and the water is clear.
  6. Other types of meditation – playing music, walking or hiking, creating, or making any kind of art
  7. Journaling is also a type of meditation, jot down a few things on your mind.
  8. Finding your flow and practicing mindfulness is anything that you do that allows you to be present
