This Is Spinal Tap Flixtor movie is a rockumentary centered around the band mentioned in the title. The three primary members of Spinal Tap include David St. Hubbies, portrayed by Michael McKean, Nigel Tufnel, played by Christopher Guest, and Derek Smalls, represented by Harry Shearer. Claiming that all three are comedic in their roles would be an understatement!!! The film documents their journey on a new American tour aimed at promoting a new album. The band is dreadful, and their lyrics reflect the typical hard rock and heavy metal themes that emerged in the late 70s and early 80s. While their lyrics are awful, they somewhat capture the essence of that era. They are accompanied by a documentary filmmaker named Marty DiBergi, played by Rob Reiner. He conducts the usual interviews with the band, discussing their history, their views on their music, and so forth, much like other films of this genre.
