Daniel Rolon is a mechanical engineer from Brazil and is currently researching for his PHD at the Technical University (TU) of Berlin in Germany. He tells us about his research and how he almost accidentally came to Berlin for his academic career that started in Brazil. Along his journey, he encountered not only hurdles and barriers that came from the scientific realm, but also cultural and social ones. Martial Arts have always been a steady companion on his path, and he gives us a little insight into how they helped him to develop as a young boy and how they nowadays help him to calm his mind and to relax.
