Marianne works at the exciting intersection of density functional theory, computational materials science, and machine learning, pushing forward research in materials design and innovation.

She shares insights from her role in the DOST-PCIEERD and the East Asia Science and Innovation Area Joint Research Program, led by Dr. Allan Abraham B. Padama. We also talk about her recent paper, “The Tendency of V Segregation in Pd/V(110) and Pd/V(100) Surfaces Induced by H Adsorption,” which explores atom segregation in palladium/vanadium surfaces—an important step toward developing hydrogen-permeable materials for clean energy technologies.
