The Borley Rectory's reputation for violent poltergeist activity and horrifying apparitions witnessed by hundreds of people over the course of a century makes it one of the most haunted houses in England, if not the entire world. It's drawn in the biggest ghost hunters and psychic researchers, including Harry Price and the Warrens. Although the rectory was lost to a tragic fire, the residual paranormal energy remains trapped inside the nearby parish church. This paranormal hotspot also inspired the Warrens notorious adversary in The Conjuring movies, Valak the nun.
