Light of knowledge

In Islamic training, the “ Light of Knowledge ” is greatly admired as a sign of godly advice, the verity and the path toward right conduct. The Arabic term" nūr al- ʿilm" means knowledge is seen as a light that helps people avoid the darkness of ignorance. The Quran says that knowledge comes from Allah, who asks “ Say, ‘ Are those who know the same as those who do n't know?' ”( Surah Az- Zumar, 399). This light helps the heart and soul develop spiritually as well as mentally.

Prophet Muhammad ﷺ said that all Muslims should give significance to literacy, as he stated “ Seeking knowledge is a duty for everyone in the Muslim community ”( Sunan Ibn Majah). Some say that scholars help people find their way, echoing the hadith that “ trippers should follow the guidance of the learned, as the full moon stands out above all the other stars ”( Abu Dawood).

Anyone who learns about Islam soon becomes humble, pious and just. This work is n't done for fame, but rather to serve humankind, seek reality and raise oneself closer to Allah. As a result, the Light of Knowledge supports people, improves societies and stimulates inner growth leading to mindfulness and spiritual closeness to God.
