This new obsession with immediate satisfaction can be seen in various aspects of our lives, from our buying habits, the way that we eat and the way we try nowadays to find love.

But while humans are hard-wired for instant gratification for different evolutionary reasons, in the modern world, indulging in our desire for instant gratification too often can result in various negative consequences.
