Pastor Malachi Mitchell, born and raised in San Diego, has walked a remarkable journey—from acting and modeling to city service, and now a powerful voice in ministry. In 1996, during one of the darkest times of his life, he experienced a spiritual awakening where God changed his name from Anthony Mitchell to Malachi—a name he’s affectionately known by today.

Licensed and ordained since 1984, he has served as youth pastor and co-pastor at Good Samaritan of San Diego Church alongside his family. He holds both bachelor’s and master’s degrees in Christian Studies with an emphasis in Leadership from Grand Canyon University.

Together with his wife Christine, he founded Life’s Word Ministry to reach, teach, and restore hope—helping families heal, empowering the broken, and inspiring lives to change through the truth of God’s Word.

Whether rich or poor, religious or irreligious, moral or immoral—every person needs salvation.Romans 3:23 is one of the most sobering verses in Scripture. It tells us plainly: all have sinned. Not some, not most, but all. Sin is the great equalizer. It doesn’t matter if you were raised in the church or in the streets, if you have a Ph.D. or never finished school, if you are rich or poor—sin has touched every life.
