It's not given, It's a Process

Inspired by a time Co-Star sent one of those daily mantras and it just hit home and sent your favorite fruit on a mental tangent/reflection. "Trust is a Process between people, not something given to one another."

Trust is US (trUSt). It is something that can guide and hold strongly and is needed for self as much as between you and exterior factors. Trust is repairable but it's a possibility it could never be the same.
