Long-Term Patient Follow-Up with Medable - Life Sciences Today Podcast Episode 28
We're excited to be back for another episode of the Life Sciences Today Podcast by Healthcare IT Today. My guest today is Pamela Tenaerts, Chief Medical Officer at Medable. Tenaerts talks about how they improve accessibility for patients in the 15-year follow-up period mandated by the FDA for patients in gene therapy trials. Patients often travel from far (even internationally) for treatment, sponsors have to pay for infrastructure costs for maintaining multiple sites, and patients have to deal with parking and logistics issues at hospitals.

Medable’s eCOA software enables patients to use their phones to report on outcomes, stay close to home, and do blood work and imaging in local clinics. The benefits for drug company customers are reduced infrastructure costs, better patient retention, faster data collection, and improved regulatory compliance.
