The winter solstice is the shortest day and longest night of the year, and marks the beginning of winter in the Northern Hemisphere. It occurs when the North Pole is tilted furthest away from the sun, resulting in the sun appears at its lowest point in the sky and the shortest amount of daylight. The winter solstice usually takes place around December 21st or 22nd, but the exact date can vary from year to year. The winter solstice has been celebrated for centuries by cultures around the world as a time of renewal and celebration. Many people mark the occasion by lighting candles, decorating their homes with lights and evergreen plants, and gathering with friends and family to celebrate the return of the sun. In some traditions, the winter solstice is seen as a time to honor ancestors and reflect on the past year, while in others, it is seen as a time to look towards the future with hope and optimism.
In this podcast I share the Rituals you can do and the Journal prompts that might help in self-discovery.

Remember that journaling is a personal and private activity, and there is no right or wrong way to do it. The most important thing is to take the time to reflect on your thoughts and feelings and to use your journal as a tool for self-discovery and growth. I wish you all peace and harmony in your lives and the world at large and understanding and compassion for all beings.
