Episode 33: Tales From The Trail: Jeffery Mundell
Welcome to 'Tales from the Trail' which is a special podcast series we are recording in person as we travel the west during our Winter Clinic Tour. From gear makers and ranchers, to horsemen and other interesting people - tune in to enjoy as they share their stories.I have followed Jeff's work for a number of years now and it was awesome to finally be able to meet in person on the historic Gabilan Ranch. We share several common passions including horsemanship, vaquero bridle horse and regenerative agriculture. It was so interesting and refreshing to learn more about his story.About Jeffery:California born and raised, Jefferey became intrigued with true bridle horses at 12 years of age. Over the years, Jeffrey's desire grew toward keeping the bridle horse traditions alive and learning the art of hackamores, two-rein and using spade signal bits while working in cattle operations and embracing the buckaroo lifestyle. He is the ranch manager on the historic El Rancho Cienega del Gabilan, a working cattle ranch in San Juan Bautista, CA. He continues to follow and respect the early vaquero traditions in horsemanship & stockmanship and practices regenerative grazing to restore the rangeland eco systems. About Life In The Saddle Podcast:Join horseman Ben Longwell, an American Cowboy who spent the last 11 years working in the equine industry in New Zealand, before moving back to the US with his wife and 4 kids.
