Here, we talk about all things family photography, running a creative business + mindset with a little bit of motherhood sprinkled in to keep things real! After a decade in the photography industry, I've learned there are a lot of rules. While some of those rules can be helpful, I’ve learned that we come into the fullest expression of who we are as artists when we can let go of these rules, expectations + trying to fit into the aesthetic that someone else has deemed as beautiful + worthy. What the world actually needs is for you to create what you were created to create, so let's get to it!

Ep 16: My (Non-Salesly) Approach to IPS for Family Photographers

Hey friend!

If the thoughts of an IPS pricing structure immediately makes you cringe and want to hide today's episode is for you. I've felt this way about IPS in the past as well, so believe me when I say, I GET IT!

At the beginning of 2024, though, I transitioned to an IPS pricing model, and surprisingly to me, I love it! Part of what has enabled me to love it is how I approach it, which involves NOT being salesy or pushy.

In today's episode, I'm unpacking several different aspects of my experience with IPS:

  • Why I decided to transition to an IPS/a la carte pricing model
  • Two things I love the most about it (it's probably not what you think!)
  • How I approach it in a way that isn't salesy or pushy
  • What I did wrong when I initially tried in person sales five years ago

I hope that this helps you to see IPS in a different light, and gives you an alternative view on how you can incorporate in person sales as a family photographer and serve your family photography clients well!

xo, Morgan
