Luke 13:18-35 - Repentance is one of the most important words in the Bible. Without repentance a person cannot be saved. Without continual repentance, a believer cannot continue to grow spiritually. Repentance is not just saying sorry to God for your sins, it is much deeper. True repentance is the key to beginning a relationship with God and growing in the relationship. Repentance in the Bible means to change one's thinking and to turn around. To repent is first of all to recognize that what you have done is sin. Then you make the choice to turn away from that sin and follow God's ways for your life. True repentance is turning away from idols and choosing to worship God alone with your life.
