She's the author of the poetry book The High Shelf and her second poetry book, I Say the Sky, is forthcoming. Her poetry and prose have been widely published in more than 80 publications including The New Yorker, American Poetry Review, LARB, Spirituality & Health, Lion’s Roar and elsewhere. She holds a PhD in English from Columbia University, a BA from Harvard, is a yoga teacher, a serious student of Tik not han, an activist for social and environmental justice, and a mother of two.
